New Patient Information

Do I need a referral from my Medical Doctor?

In most cases a referral from your Medical Doctor is not necessary. Doctors of Chiropractic are primary health care providers. The only time you are required to see your medical doctor before you see a chiropractor is when your insurance plan requires a referral from a medical doctor. You may contact your insurance provider or employee benefits to find out what is required

What is the first visit like?

The standard of care for every new patient includes a complete chiropractic examination which may consist of chiropractic evaluation, orthopedic, neurologic, nutritional examinations. In some cases, diagnostic images or lab studies may be ordered to further assist in diagnosing your condition. Treatments may begin on the initial visit.

How often will I have to go for treatment?

Treatment plans are based on each individual's needs and goals. Some patients want symptomatic relief while other seek maintenance care. A treatment plan will be discussed with you by the doctor typically on the second visit.
